Third Wednesday is an independent journal, not affiliated with any larger arts organization, college, or university. Being independent has its advantages. We answer to no higher authority, and have to please no one but ourselves, and our own aesthetic.

However, being totally independent also has its drawbacks - like financing, for instance. We are totally self-financed, depending on our own resources, the generosity of friends and supporters, and a few dollars generated by advertising (although we provide most advertising free of charge).
